It’s something that skips most minds when planning a new home or kitchen specifically, but which stools should we use?

So many kitchens are now being designed with island benches, serveries or innovative eating set ups and this means I will need somewhere to sit, right?

Don’t feel limited with options – stools are a very broad category choosing from those with back support (a personal favourite), low or high seat, chrome, wooden or cane base, leather, wooden or plastic seat and the list goes on.

The only focus should be matching the stool to the materials used and the physical space you have given to placing the stools.
